Membership, general

Several dozens of entities from all 5 continents (with or without a Specialised Status with the UN) are the founding members of the GAODC.

The full list of the GAODC members (and their authorized representatives) is available per request.

 

Eligibility criteria

Membership is open to any international FORA and to any societal stakeholder from anywhere in the world that acts in conformity with:

a. the UN Charter;

b. Universal Human Rights Charter;

c. whose work is compatible with our Mission Statement

 

Membership procedure

The Membership procedure starts by a GAODC's invitation or by the designate's expression of interest. Membership is free. No fee is foreseen.

 

Voting rights

Every member has an equal voting right before the General Assembly of the GAODC. The passive voting right for the seat in the Steering Board is constituted after 6 months of membership. Founding members do not have such a limitation.
